From Anna

Little, Jean
Growing up in Germany in the early 1930s, Anna has always felt like an outcast in her own family. Unlike her siblings, Anna is awkward and struggles at school. Her teachers and family often lead her to believe that she is misbehaving. Then, because of political unrest in Germany, Anna’s family decides to immigrate to Canada. When they are in their new country, thanks to the help of a kind doctor, the family learns that Anna is sight-impaired.
