Astonishing Life of Octavian Nothing, Traitor to the Nation, The

A young African slave is raised as royalty as part of a science experiment designed to determine "whether homo africanus is a separate species from homo europaeus." The experiment runs into financial difficulties and, under new administration, its purpose is adapted to proving the racial inferiority of the African race. Octavian's life and the lives of the scientists running the experiment are forever changed causing much hardship and harsh realizations for all involved.
