Dead Water Zone

This science-fiction novel explores the interdependent relationship between two brothers who are opposites. Paul is a popular, athletic 16-year-old boy; Sam is his frail, intellectually superior, younger brother. Paul is used to protecting Sam from bullies, but Sam can’t take the taunting anymore and runs away to the ghetto region of Watertown in search of a cure for his degenerative disease. He hopes to acquire “super powers” from its heavily polluted water.
