Wanda Petronski, a poor immigrant girl in a small New England town, tells the girls at her school that she has a hundred dresses at home. From that day on, the girls tease her every day. But when the Petronski family leaves town, the girls in the class find out more about who Wanda really is and realize how cruel they have been.
