Jeannie & the Gentle Giants

Armstrong, Luanne
Jeannie lives with her mother in a small, inner-city apartment in Kelowna, coping as well as she can with poverty and her mother’s mental illness. When her mother is hospitalized, Jeannie is sent to a foster home out in the country. But through a connection with the neighbour’s horses, Jeannie soon grows to love her new community. Over time her new struggle becomes how she will return to her mother when she is well again.
