Snow Falling in Spring

Li, Moying
The author describes, from personal experience, the catastrophic effects of the cultural revolution in China (1966 – 1972) on her family, neighbours, school friends, and teachers. Accused, often falsely, of failing to meet the prevailing standards of Party orthodoxy, the careers and indeed the lives of many artists, teachers, administrators, musicians and officials are destroyed in a storm of denunciation and summary justice.
