Tamarind Mem

This is the story of a mother and her two daughters. The story begins in India; however, as the daughters reach maturity, they are quick to immigrate to Canada and the United States. This is a perspective novel, though not completely plot-driven in which the daughter's impressions of her mother's behaviour are challenged in the latter half of the novel when the perspective changes.
