Rapp, A.
Sixteen-year-old Corinthia is not a typical teenager – she is over seven feet tall and can predict the future, but only disastrous events, and her journey to adulthood is filled with intolerance and unusual experiences. Bill must deal with his father’s death, his mother’s mental health issues, and severe bullying at school. Both characters are on the outside and try to determine how they fit in the world. This unconventional novel considers the lives of people ostracized by society, and deals with issues of identity, bullying, friendship, self-acceptance, courage, inclusion and diversity. Suitable for a literature circle or an independent novel study. Social considerations noted.
