Canoe Kids: The Mi'kmaq of Ktaqamkuk

n/a
This Canadian resource is a compilation of stories and pictures to bring awareness to Mi’kmaq culture, traditions, and heritage. Many of the stories are first-hand accounts from Elders and Chief on a variety of topics, have vivid pictures, and are interesting and detailed enough for student use. Suitable for grades 8-12, the book would be a useful supplemental resource for class discussions, chapters could be chosen to address specific topics being taught, and the articles could prompt discussion and writing activities.
