Walk on the Tundra, A

Hainnu, R.; Ziegler, A.
Inuujaq is not at all excited about going for a walk on the tundra with her grandmother and she trudges slowly behind. Her attitude soon changes as her grandmother introduces her to the beauty and wonders of the plant life on the tundra and explains how it provides nourishment and healing for the family. This Canadian picture book will be a useful read-aloud to introduce students in K-5 to traditional plants and their uses, respect for the environment, and the natural resources in the Arctic. Includes a plant glossary and a glossary of Inuktitut words and phrases.
