Dear Mr Sprouts
“Dear Mr Sprouts” is a sensitive story told in letter format. Anke, newly arrived in Australia from Holland, lets a balloon go as part of a school project. Inside the balloon are mountain ash seeds and a note with her name and address. When miles away, a farm boy named Freddie finds it, the two children become pen pals. The dialogue continues through their nine-year correspondence.
