Monsoon Summer
Jasmine and her family are leaving for India where her mother will work at the orphanage she lived in as a child. Jasmine would rather spend the summer at home California with the boy she secretly loves. Jasmine is upset by the poverty she sees and the difficulties faced by girls her age.
