Runner

Deuker, Carl
Telling the story of a teenager who unwittingly becomes a runner for a terrorist organization, this engaging novel would appeal to reluctant readers . It is fast-paced with short chapters, high-interest, and easy vocabulary. Characters are well-developed and believable. At least three distinct themes give opportunity to appeal to different groups: patriotism/terrorism, fear/courage, privilege/poverty.
