Master of Mindfulness: How to Be your Own Superhero in Times of Stress

Grossman, L. M.
This engaging book asks students to imagine when mindfulness could be helpful and then presents a variety of examples of stressful situations and shows how mindfulness can be useful to reduce stress and facilitate better problem-solving. It then explains the different ways the brain reacts to stress and mindfulness, and provides four scripts for mindfulness that children can use in different situations. Co-written by a fifth grade class, children will be able to connect to the age-appropriate situations and examples. Suitable for teacher-led whole class reading and discussion as well as mindfulness practice for students independently or with a partner.
