Great Spirit Hand

Great Spirit Hand is an online resource taking viewers on a journey of exploration of the history of the Sto:lo Indigenous people, near Mission, BC. Through engaging multimedia resources, virtual reality tours, and extensive video and audio clips, we learn about and explore the history of the Sto:lo people, building an understanding of their lives pre-European contact, the impacts of residential schools, reconciliation, and existing world views. The resource offers material for primary and secondary students, and the included activities, videos, guiding questions, and anchor resources can be used beyond this website to help students develop their knowledge and their understanding of the Indigenous First Peoples of BC.
