A collection of inspiring stories of children from Canada and worldwide who positively impacted their communities during the COVID-19 pandemic, “What Kids Did” features stories of innovation and compassion. Each story features the work of one particular child with their unique story and photograph. Suitable for elementary-age students, the resource may invite readers to reflect on social responsibility in the community and how they can contribute. Additionally, this informational resource could inspire a classroom inventor’s fair or encourage a classroom-based celebration of acts of kindness that students have engaged in within the community.
