This traditional Inuit transformation tale tells of Piujuq, who is transformed into a caterpillar due to an act of kindness she shows to a stranger. Her kindness also attracts Amaruq, who accepts her appearance and marries her. When Amaruq finds a drum and brings it home so Piujuq can dance and be happy, his act of kindness changes her back to a beautiful young woman.
