Liesl, a young woman who feels she can’t compete with her beautiful sister and talented brother nor meet her father’s expectations, takes solace in a childhood relationship with a charming boy. When her sister is kidnapped and taken by goblins to the underworld, Liesl discovers the charming boy is the Goblin King and she marries him to free her sister even though she will slowly die, but the Goblin King’s true love for her causes him to release Liesl, knowing he will die instead.
