Focused Education Resources is a non-profit, member-driven organization passionate about supporting excellence in the K-12 sector. Our shared service offerings provide school districts, independent schools and First Nations schools with a comprehensive suite of resources created to help optimize every aspect of education delivery.
We are situated on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. Serving members in communities across British Columbia, the Yukon and Northwest Territories, Focused Education is committed to reconciliation and building relationships as we move forward.

W̱SÁNEĆ MOONS PROGRAM
Did you know the W̱SÁNEĆ people have traditionally used the full moons for their yearly calendar? In this new program, Live It Earth is partnering with Saanich Schools and W̱SÁNEĆ nation elders to explore the names of the moons and how seasonal activities are linked to the lunar cycles. The reputational risk associated with a crisis for organizations is intensified by social media and the world of instant communications, where everyone is an ‘expert’ and can shape the narrative. The Crisis Communications Toolkit offers guidance for school districts on how to prepare for and respond to cyber incidents.

National Indigenous Peoples Day
June 21, 2025, is National Indigenous Peoples Day. Taking place on the summer solstice each year, it is a time for connection, celebration, and recognition of the First Nations, Inuit, and Metis communities of Canada. Signaling the season of abundance in fishing, fresh berries, and gatherings, there are many celebrations across BC and Canada to participate in and enjoy.

Pride Month - June 2025
Each June, Pride Month offers a chance to learn about and honour the histories, identities, and contributions of 2SLGBTQI+ individuals. It’s a time to celebrate diversity and foster welcoming spaces where everyone feels seen and supported.

Graduation Season
As we approach Grad Season, we want to take a moment to congratulate students for their hard work and dedication, whether students are finishing kindergarten, high school, or any milestones in between. Foundations for New School Leaders
Bringing together panelists and inspirational voices of BC’s education partners, the Foundations for New School Leaders program, put on by BCPVPA from June 30 – July 4, 2025, is a great opportunity for educational leaders to gather together for learning, networking, and growth.
