Aviation 12 - Airport Operations and Management
In Airport Operations and Management students will learn how airports connect communities and how airports are integrated into the infrastructure. Students will learn how aircraft communicate and operate with air traffic control in Visual Flight rules and Instrument Flight rules as well as understand the airspace that aircraft operate in.
Airport Operations and Management will: 1. Explore a variety of career and training pathways in the sector of aerospace and aviation, currently one of the top ten sectors identified as needing skills training and development 2. Provide students with the understanding of airport operations, air traffic control and airspace. 3. Connect students with industry and employment opportunities, as well as further post-secondary education pathways
