To provide students with the opportunity to explore the concept of leadership & contribute to the school & community. To develop an understanding of leadership perspectives & leadership qualities & grow personal & organizational skills necessary to perform a leadership role. To demonstrate leadership capacity by organizing & leading various classroom, school & community events. Participate in & plan activities that benefit others in the school & community & attend team building field trips.

Contribute to a positive school culture. Understanding what motivates individuals. Having increased awareness of self & others. The concept of leadership can be viewed from diverse perspectives. Understanding our strengths, weaknesses, and personal preferences helps us plan and achieve goals that impact and enhance our community. Achieving goals we set requires effort and perseverance. Contributing to our community brings value to our lives and contributes to our emotional and mental well-being. Contributing to volunteer/community activities increases the likelihood that we will be active citizens throughout our lives.
Aboriginal Worldviews and Perspectives: Leadership Education facilitates community-based learning by providing opportunities for community connections, real-life contexts & experiences outside the school environment. The First Peoples Principles of Learning are reflected in the holistic, reflective & experiential curriculum, in which students are placed at the center of their learning. Through these experiences, students will explore their own identities & make meaningful connections.
