Addressing Online Risks Facing Youth in Grades 7 and 8
Developed in response to emerging online risks, this Canadian resource is useful to help students in grades 6 through 8 develop knowledge and understanding about healthy and unhealthy relationships. The material covers current issues and risks youth face in today's society. The social considerations are dealt with in a very positive way, with a bent towards supporting and respecting all students and the people who they have contact with, both in person and online. The resource is easy to use and well planned. Each lesson is developed in a progressive manner with independent thinking, group discussion, direct instruction, and student activity. The lessons encourage students to analyze and assess choices they make when interacting with others in person and through technology.
