All Creation Represented: A Child's Guide to the Medicine Wheel
This Canadian resource, written by an Anishinaabe educator, provides students with an opportunity to learn about the Medicine Wheel and its importance in First Nations culture. Each concept/teaching of the Medicine Wheel is presented with a written explanation on the right page and a supporting visual on the left page. The level of detail will pique students’ interest and can encourage further exploration and inquiry. This timely book can be used as a cross-curricular resource across grades 3-12 to explore First Nations culture, knowledge, and viewpoints, and to launch discussion about an individual’s impact on the Earth and role in the community and family.
