Nadira Hossain and her family emigrated from Bangladesh to America, and remained in the country ilegally on a visitor's visa. The two daughters, Nadira and Aisha attend high school in New York, and face racism after 9/11. As U.S. paranoia grows Muslim men are made to register with the government and as a result, Nadira's father faces the possibility of deportation. It is up to the two sisters, particularly Nadira, to try and free her father, and save the life her family has created in America.
