Beckoners, The

Fifteen-year-old Zoe has moved to Abbotsford with her little sister and their single mother. She finds herself hanging out with a local hooligan named Becky and her gang, the Beckoners. Zoe gets initiated, but after witnessing one of the gang members being raped and the humiliating treatment of her next-door neighbour April, Zoe decides that she does not want to be in the gang anymore. She joins the school newspaper, starts empathizing with April, and tries to avoid the Beckoners.
