This extensive resource aims to help students develop important ensemble skills needed to play in a band, particularly Jazz Band and Concert Band. Focusing on ear training, improvisation, theory, rhythm training, technique, and how to read a score, the lessons encourage creativity and expression and also introduce different musical styles and daily practice routines. This resource can be used as a complete curriculum for a semester or year, including performance pieces, and to support differentiated instruction. A practice CD is included with full performances of each piece. Teaching tips are highlighted throughout the resource.
