Between Shades of Gray
Told in the first-person narrative, this novel follows fifteen-year-old Lina Vilkas, a young Lithuanian girl, as her family is arrested by the Soviet police in 1941 and forcibly transported to Siberia where they are imprisoned in a slave labour camp for twelve years.
