Blue Skin of the Sea

Set in Hawaii between the years 1953 and 1966, this novel traces the experiences of Sonny and his cousin, Keo, as they travel through adolescence. With patience and understanding, Sonny's father and Keo continue to offer support and guidance to Sonny whether he is battling his fear of the sea, worrying about going to high school, dealing with bullies, searching for his father after a hurricane, or falling in love.
