Body Talk: 37 Voices Explore Our Radical Anatomy
This anthology of thirty-seven diverse voices explores an array of body image issues through personal essays contributed by writers, models, actors, and musicians. This timely, contemporary work will raise student awareness of some of the body-related issues people face, the impact they have, and how they can affect people’s self-esteem. A useful resource for classroom teachers, counsellors, or staff to facilitate discussion of eating disorders, body size and shape, scoliosis, cancer, and sexuality and gender. Suitable for mature students as stories are authentic, raw, and emotionally charged and may be triggers for some students.
