Bone from a Dry Sea, A

Dickinson, Peter
Two parallel stories are narrated by strong female characters. Li, from three million years ago, is a young prehistoric female human whose tribe lives in water and on land and depends on the sea for its survival. Li is a thinker who develops new methods for the survival of the tribe, while the rest of the tribe exists on instinct alone. On the other hand, Vinny lives in the present and has joined her father on an archaeological dig in Africa.
