Brief History of the Dead, The

This is a novel with an original premise: humans are divided into three groups comprising those who are still alive, those who have died but live on in the memories of the living, and those who are dead and forgotten. Brockmeier has envisaged a city populated by members of the second category, in a place of limbo with strong resemblances to this world.
