Younger brother Green is on the Autism spectrum and his older brother Cedar is very protective of him. When Green is accused of theft by the school basketball coach, the brothers team up to prove Green’s innocence and along the way characters in the story learn to understand and appreciate Green’s neurodiversity. This engaging Canadian novel can be used for a class read-aloud, independent novel, literature circle, or classroom library addition and explores friendship, relationships, neurodiversity, friendship, family bonds, bullying, differences, uniqueness, ability/disability, and acceptance. The story is told through the alternating voices of Cedar and Green.
