Caged Eagles

Walters, Eric
This carefully crafted and moving novel details the difficult period in BC history when all Canadians of Japanese descent were sent to internment camps after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. The story follows a young Japanese-Canadian boy as his family is taken from Prince Rupert to Vancouver's Hastings Park, just prior to going to Alberta. Highly recommended.
