Can We Talk about Consent?

Hancock, J.
This timely resource aims to help students identify their personal preferences and learn how to seek consent from themselves and others in a variety of contexts. It provides basic information about agency, gender, asking for consent, saying no, seeking consent in sexual relationships and group situations, and social justice issues and consent. The language is appropriate for the grade 7-10 audience and visuals are engaging and inclusive. The work can supplement class discussions of specific topics and will provide opportunities for critical thinking, personal connection, and gaining a better understanding of consent.
