CBC Thematic Collection - English

The CBC digital bundle offers educators a wealth of Canadian material -- over 250 English TV programmes, including The Nature of Things, The National, and The Fifth Estate. This video collection presents a variety of topics appropriate for science, social studies, and language arts at the Grade 4-7 level and music at the Grade K-3 level. Secondary level videos support a variety of learning styles and different curricula, including social studies, planning, psychology, P.E, and health studies. They could also be used to compare current aspects of society with those of developing cultures or societies and to teach about healthy living, sustainable resource use, and current issues. Technically, the video quality, sound, and playback are all of good to excellent quality, and users have the flexibility to adjust the streaming and quality to suit their technological requirements.
