Celia's Song

Maracle, L.
Celia's Song chronicles the events, over several generations, of an extended Sto:lo family who live on a reserve in the Fraser Valley. However, the level of poverty and violence in the novel, while accurately portraying the effects of long term historical and psychological abuse on many First Nations families, make it suitable for mature students only.
