Clockwork

Pullman, Philip
In medieval Germany, an apprentice clockmaker struggling to finish his final project and a writer struggling to complete a story find common ground because of a prince with a clockwork heart and a disreputable doctor. The writing is strong, has good voice and flows well. This book could be used to teach genre; e.g., fairy tales or folk tales.
