This contemporary novel set in the United States is an interesting mystery that involves genetic manipulation and cloning. Miranda, the protagonist, seems to have it all: good looks, good grades, money, the lead in her dance class, and a healthy relationship with her parents. Then she discovers that she has a genetic disorder with no known cure. With her parents acting more and more mysterious, Miranda is sent to a special clinic owned by her parents and there she discovers that she has a clone.
