Company of Fools, A

Told from the first person,the narrator Henri is an orphaned boy who is a loner. Sickly, shy and studious, he is befriended by Micah a boisterous orphan boy with a beautiful singing voice who is introduced into the abbey after being rescued by one of the friars from execution. A friendship develops between them. Meanwhile the bubonic plague comes to Paris and eventually enters the abbey.
