Creepy Crayon!

Reynolds, A.
Young rabbit Jasper struggles at school until he finds a purple crayon that magically helps him ace his schoolwork, freeing Jasper up for fun activities. Soon, though, the creepy crayon won’t leave Jasper, he feels guilty for achieving success he doesn’t deserve, and realizes things are getting out of control. He tries many ways to make the crayon go away and finally is free when the crayon ends up with someone else. This engaging resource, with expressive visuals, can be used as a class read-aloud to explore working hard to succeed, individual strengths and challenges, self-regulation, time management, overcoming challenges, and problem solving when a situation gets out of hand.
