Curio.ca is a high quality, engaging, and extensive collection of video and audio resources compiled by the CBC from their television and radio programmes, news reports, and archives. The programmes provide insight into the complex issues that Canadians have had to grapple with over the course of history. Although many of the videos deal with challenging and at times controversial topics, they are handled maturely and appropriately for the intended teenage audience. The historical content is accurate and the stories are based on real events that affect Canadians. Sources, for the most part, provide balanced information for controversial topics. The materials in the collection support a number of high school curricular areas, including English, social studies, civics, law, social justice, psychology, business education, health, and all branches of science.
