Ambrose and Kodiak, two seventeen-year-olds from very different socio-economic backgrounds and cultures, are sent on a space mission to rescue Ambrose’s sister who has been missing for some time. The boys struggle to relate to each other but as they realize they must work together to get to the bottom of several questions and mysteries that arise on the voyage and to ultimately ensure their own survival and the survival of humanity, they bond and develop a romantic relationship. This suspenseful science fiction novel focuses on the complexity of humans, the need for human connection and relationships, survival, flexibility, adapting, and overcoming adversity.
