Dogs Don't Tell Jokes
Gary Boone is always compulsively telling jokes - some funny, but most of them not humorous, jokes. He thinks that the only way to get his peers and teachers to accept him is to tell jokes. Unfortunately, this habit of finding humour in every aspect of his life is seen by his family, teachers, and peers as a nuisance. This novel provides many opportunities for discussion about individual differences, bullying, peer relationships, self esteem, emotions and acceptance.
