(Don’t) Call Me Crazy: 33 Voices Start the Conversation about Mental Health
This collection of essays highlights the personal experiences of mental illness in a diverse and eclectic group of young adults. The resource aims to remove the stigma about mental illness, inform others about mental illness, promote understanding, knowledge, and empathy, and offer hope. As the stories are raw and graphic, the resource is most suitable for use by counselors and case workers rather than for full class usage, but educators may use individual stories, with support and guidance, as discussion starters with senior students. Social considerations noted.
