dream / arteries

Dulai, P.
dream / arteries explores in verse and archival photos the immigrant experience, by following the life of the ship the Komagata Maru, which spent thirty six years delivering immigrants to the New World. Focus is placed on the 1914 event when the ship, carrying South Asian immigrants, was denied entry into Canada and turned back after two months of confinement in Vancouver harbour.
