Drum Story, The

The Drum Story is a traditional Ojibwe/Anishinaabe tale of a young girl who receives a drum and uses it to bring peace to her people. The companion DVD has a reading of the story in English and Ojibwe. The teacher’s resource guide has lesson plans, drum making directions, recipes, crafts, and background information. Suitable for grade 3-7 classrooms, the story can be a stepping off point to spark discussion and inquiry.
