Dust

Slade, Arthur
A young boy becomes involved in a mystery that grips his whole town when children start to disappear. Robert, an 11-year-old boy, finds himself the centre of that mystery when his brother goes missing. While the townspeople are caught up in a mystical 'sleep' brought about by the evil Abraham Harsich, Robert is left to find the children. Strengths of this novel include its use of strong symbolism and imagery as well as its gripping suspense.
