In this short, high-interest novel with simple vocabulary, a young boy deals with his First Nations heritage in a new city. Themes include bullying, racism, friendship, heritage and relationships between family members. Danny is a young boy who feels that he is being ostracized at school because of his Mohawk heritage. His dad tries to help by speaking to the class about his family's history and beliefs, and through this Danny comes to new understanding about his classmates and his heritage.
