Eragon
In this fantasy story the main character, Eragon, finds his inner strength and identity through his experiences with magical creatures, his trainer Brom, witches and in particular, his dragon friend, Saphira. This lengthy novel would especially appeal to boys who enjoy fantasy books with the theme of battling evil forces.
