For Every One

This book-length poem, in a series of three letters, encourages everyone to not give up on their hopes and dreams. The author describes the ups and downs that everyone experiences as they move through life and goes through the different states of emotional, mental, social, physical, and career development and provides encouragement and motivation to carry on and keep the dream alive. Suitable for grades 8-12, the resource can be a class read-aloud or for independent study and lends itself to a variety of projects on the spoken word, cultural and identity awareness, poetry exploration and writing, and awareness/acceptance of both adversity and diversity.
